Families often feel nervous before hospice begins. Here’s what typically happens:

Day 1

  • A nurse arrives to complete an assessment
  • Medications are reviewed
  • Equipment (hospital bed, bedside table, oxygen, etc.) is arranged
  • The hospice team explains what to expect
  • A personalized care plan is created

Day 2

  • The social worker visits to review emotional and practical needs
  • The chaplain offers spiritual support
  • The nursing aide may begin personal care
  • Family receives education on what symptoms to watch for

After these first two days, you’ll know who to call, what to expect, and how we support you.

We are available 24/7 — you are never alone.
